Their story

Having taken over from Gerard Soutiran in the early 70’s, Patrick Soutiran was joined by his daughter Estelle in 2007. They continue to develop the brand while steering the domain towards reasonable growing methods. Indeed, ploughing the soil and manuring it with organic compost wich provides the grape with its essential needs. They never used weedkillers except in case of extreme necessity. This respect for the terroir is the image of this family owned business: traditional wooden wine press, vaulted cellar and millstone porch.

The estate

The vineyard is located on the Reims mountain in the “Grand Cru” listed village Ambonnay. The particularity of the latter is its southeast exposure and its limestone soil allows the vines to be constantly irrigated. Ambonnay is part of the 17 villages classified Grand Cru Champagne, which gives it an incomparable quality of grapes. The house also has vineyards in other lands, which brings a diversity in the development of its champagnes.
